Any business is a retail shop or beauty parlour or restaurant making a remarkable web

 presence is essential for its growth. Website templates can be helpful to create nice 

websites to showcase its portfolio in less time and money.  Website templates are pre 

developed web pages with its own pages, images, videos and other styling elements 

thereby making it a complete website.




Websites can be single page or multi pages. Decide accordingly and can purchase the 

template. Free templates and paid ones are also available. It can be downloaded to your 

PC or Mac. When we start downloading the template the folder will contain the web page/s, 

images used in the template, HTML and CSS files, font files, jQuery and PHP files if used in 

the template. It may also include multimedia files like audio or video content.

The downloaded files can be edited according to the requirements of your website. Web 

editors like Dreamweaver, Sublime and Notepad++ can be used. The images, text can be 

edited. The pages can be deleted, edited and added. Using Adobe Photoshop images can 

be replaced, resized. The images in the template can be exported to Photoshop and 

worked. ‘Save for web’ option can be used for saving the image file. The correct location of 

the image file should be specified in the file.

If the HTML file is inside A folder and image is also inside A folder link can be specified as 

/image.jpg.

If the HTML file is inside A folder and the image is inside B folder link can be specified as 

../B/image.jpg.

Check the name of the images and if there are any changes in name correct it manually.

Fonts used in web templates can also be changed if necessary. The fonts file also comes 

with template. If not the fonts can be downloaded to the system and files can be linked to 

the HTML files.  Additional plug-ins like SEO and other apps whatever the business needs 

are can be installed separately and used in the website.

Using web templates are efficient in terms of time and money and it helps the beginners to 

the most.
