Nano SIM

Nano SIM

Nano SIM a new invention which is added in the field of mobile technology.

With  the Nexus 5 shifting to Nano-SIM, it could be a standard for future smartphones so would it not be nice to know to convert your card to a Nano-SIM . The current Nano-SIM cards that we are using are also known as the Fourth Form Factor. The SIM measures 12.3 mm X 8.8 mm X o.67 mm

The Nano SIM reduces the size of the SIM effectively to just the golden colored contact area in the normal SIM card. It is tiny and two-thirds the size of the original SIM. The area is just  enough to prevent any electrical shorts that may occur within the socket.  Android phones also move to concept of Nano SIM because it allows smartphone makers meet with  the faster processor's demands. The cooling need that comes with it as well as the bigger batteries to make the phone last longer than they do, on a single charge. There is no advantage performance-wise and cost cutting technique but for its size aspects.

We may all have a habit of switching from a phone which uses from micro-SIM to one of the iPhones with the Nano-SIM. It may become a tough task as both the SIMs cannot be swapped . To cut down the size of the SIM card there are cutters available in stores which will chop down a usual sized SIM to new size. the process should be carried out keenly. Place the cutter on a flat surface after placing the SIM in the particular  slot  and press hard on it. If you  cannot give the requisite pressure the SIM may be damaged.
Follow the below given picture showing the way to cut the SIM. All you need to have  is a nice scissors and your mind to concentrate on your work.
