REX- A BIONIC MAN

                            REX- FIRST OF ITS KIND!!

Is it not quite happy to see a bionic man that serves mankind?

What is being called the the “world’s first complete Bionic Man” has been displayed at  London’s Science
Museum on Feb. 7 , 2013.

Rex, short for “Robotic Exoskeleton” according to Device Magazine, stands at 6.5 feet tall and has technology that allows to hear, speak and move. It even has artificial organs and synthetic blood. To make at least its face look more realistic, it is covered in artificial skin.
There is an artificial eye, which consists of a microchip implanted into the retina that receives images captured
by a camera housed on the patient’s glasses. It sends electrical pulses that are translated by the brain into shapes and patterns. The cochlear implants allows it to hear.

It incorporates some of the latest advances in mechanical limbs, as well as a heart and lungs, an artificial
pancreas, kidney, spleen and trachea, and a functional blood circulatory system.
All of its components could theoretically be welded to a human body to replace missing or worn out
parts.Scientists are hoping prosthetic replacements for failing hearts, kidneys, pancreas and spleens could one day solve the worldwide shortage of donor organs.
